Upgrading Firmware

Firmware updates are accomplished through the Ethernet port. At a high level, the process has three steps:

  1. Copy an update tar file to the modem with SCP.
  2. Extract the tar file.
  3. Run the update shell script.

Requirements​

  • Laptop or desktop computer
  • Network connection
  • pshell connection over RS-422
  • Secure shell/copy utility
  • Update_<version_num>.tar
