PMT-28 Transducer
The PMT-28 transducer is available in three delivery configurations, each designed for a different operating environment and installation requirement.
Transducer Configurations
Internal Wiring Configuration
The internal wiring configuration uses a shielded, non-waterproof cable. It is intended for applications where the transducer is housed inside a protective enclosure.
External Wiring Configuration
The external wiring configuration uses a durable polyurethane-jacketed cable. It is intended for applications where the transducer and cable may be exposed directly to outdoor or marine environments.
Dunking Transducer
The dunking transducer uses a long polyurethane-jacketed cable with an integrated strength member. It is intended for lowering the transducer into the water from a stationary platform, vessel, or buoy. The strength member helps maintain cable durability and integrity during deployment and retrieval.
All PMT-28 configurations use a potted piezoelectric ceramic element to convert mechanical signal energy to and from electrical analog signals in the 28 kHz region.
